The Fresh to BiS Episode Guide

Built directly from the real episode transcripts, not a synopsis written from memory. One line per episode on what actually happens, plus which guide on this site covers the same ground in more depth.

The series splits cleanly into two arcs. Episodes 6 through 13 are the Shadowmourne grind — buying shards, hosting raids for gold, and eventually killing the Lich King with 24 viewers watching. Episodes 14 onward are the achievement hunt that started right after, chasing everything from Ulduar hard modes to the fishing achievements nobody enjoys. Numbering starts at Episode 6 because that's where the surviving transcript record picks up.

1.The Shadowmourne grind — Episodes 6–13

The loop behind every one of these: ICC 25 heroic weekly, shards bought from other guilds' runs at 4,000–5,000 gold each, all funded by hosting normal-mode raids on the side. The full math is broken down in Inside the Fresh to BiS Series.

  • Episode 6 — The first-ever Shadowfrost Shard drop, from a self-hosted ICC 25 heroic PUG. A guild named "Bags are full" gets created purely for the extra bank slots, and a real 4,500 gold viewer donation gets given away in a 48-hour Discord giveaway instead of kept.
  • Episode 7 — A bought-shard "Light of Dawn" run at 5,000 gold/shard ends in a Lich King kill and the LoD title on the second pull, plus an 11,000 gold bid won on an Invincible mount.
  • Episode 8 — A real gold-conversion tip worth knowing: turning Emblems of Triumph into a Runed Orb (18 emblems ≈ 300g) beats Ametrine or Crusader Orb by a wide margin — see Gold Making. Also the "luckiest episode so far," five shards in a row.
  • Episode 9 — Introduces Businessman, the Horde-side neutral-auction-house alt built to arbitrage Darkmoon Faire crafting materials. The full numbers live in the Darkmoon Faire guide.
  • Episode 10 — Deckmaster hits level 80, clears two weeks of guild-bank stock for 35,000+ gold in one night, and hosts his own first raid. The addon release shown here — BiS tracker, spammer, master looter, raid browser — is the same one covered in Raid Tools and Farm Pack.
  • Episode 11 — A normal-mode ICC 25 hosted purely for BOEs (no rolling for the host) nets roughly 18,000–20,000 gold in 2.5 hours — the real hosting-for-gold math behind Gold Making. A Ruby Sanctum 25 heroic kill drops two best-in-slot items in the same pull.
  • Episode 12 — A heroic Conqueror's Mark nearly gets lost when the raid leader forgets to loot the boss it dropped from, then gets bought back for 20,000 gold. The shard count reaches 42.
  • Episode 13 — The Shadowmourne finale: four weekly livestreams with 24 viewers chasing the last 8 shards, a real "delete the character or complete the quest" poll (48% voted delete), and the weapon itself on the fourth attempt.

2.The achievement hunt — Episodes 14–21

With Shadowmourne in hand, the series pivots to chasing every achievement in the game. Three guides on this site come directly out of this stretch.

  • Episode 14 — The hunt begins with easy warm-up achievements (food, critters, exploration), then the first real attempt at the Kirin Tor book-hunting achievement, tracked against Warmane's own server-uptime page to estimate the roughly 3-hour respawn window.
  • Episode 15 — A full Glory of the Ulduar Raider 25-player run with real hard-mode tactics boss by boss — XT's Heartbreaker, Auriaya's Crazy Cat Lady, Freya's elders, Mimiron's Firefighter, General Vezax. Covered in depth in Ulduar Hard Modes.
  • Episode 16 — The fishing achievement grind starts for real: Mr. Pinchy caught, but the pet doesn't drop on the first try, and Old Ironjaw sits past 2,600 casts with no luck. See Fishing Achievements.
  • Episode 17 — Mr. Pinchy's pet finally drops on the 5th attempt, 6 of 8 Kirin Tor books get found in a single 24-hour stretch, and TOC 25's side achievements (Icehowl's snow bolts, Anub'arak's scarabs) get done on normal difficulty.
  • Episode 18 — The first-ever Ulduar 10-player run, going after the harder side achievements. Real numbers on how wide fishing RNG can swing: Old Ironjaw needs about 4,000 casts, the Dark Herring only about 350.
  • Episode 19 — Old Crafty, fished from right inside Stormwind and Orgrimmar, turns into a lesson in knowing when to stop — two catches get lost to tilt before the achievement finally lands on the third.
  • Episode 20 — Argent Tournament dailies begin for the 100-mounts and 1,000-daily-quests achievements. A real Booty Bay fishing derby attempt fails to PvP ganking, and a second, harder Ulduar 25 side-achievement run lands the Nerf Scrapbots achievement on XT.
  • Episode 21 — Coin Master achievement completed, including trading a spare Archimonde coin to a random player chasing the same one. The DPS diagnosis from earlier in the series gets confirmed again: still 15,000–17,000 DPS at 6.8k GearScore, because Tiny Abomination in a Jar has never once dropped in roughly 20 ICC clears — the exact finding covered in Inside the Fresh to BiS Series.

3.Behind the raid-leader curtain

One more file worth knowing about, separate from the numbered episodes: a full, unedited recording of forming and running a TOC 25 PUG from scratch — spamming the raid-finder message, gear-checking every applicant, fixing an AFK main tank mid-invite, deciding main-spec rolls on the fly, and finishing with roughly 7,500–8,000 gold plus 20 Emblems of Triumph in 1 hour 20 minutes. It's the real process behind the numbers in Gold Making.

4.Watch it yourself

The full series is on the RealNibba YouTube channel. If a summary above doesn't cover what you're after, the episode itself will.
