Focus Counterspell
Stops your current cast and interrupts your hostile focus, falling back to your target.
#showtooltip Counterspell

/cast [@focus,harm,nodead,exists][] Counterspell
Interrupts, wards, control and burst macros for WotLK 3.3.5a end-game raiding, with every command ready to copy.
Mage General macros support the parts of the class that every specialization shares. This group focuses on fast targeting, clean target swaps and utility without losing your main boss target. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.
They are most valuable during add waves, interrupt assignments, emergency raid utility and moments when changing target would cost casts or auto-attacks. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.
Keep only the targeting layers you can read instantly. If your raid frames, click-casting addon or nameplates already perform the same job, the shorter normal keybind is often safer.

Steals from a hostile mouseover or your current target.

Cancels Invisibility when you need to resume attacking before the full effect finishes.
/cancelaura Invisibility
Mage Arcane macros support planned haste and damage cooldown stacking. This group focuses on aligning a short burn phase with encounter timing rather than firing every item on cooldown. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.
They are most valuable during Bloodlust windows, exposed targets and final-phase damage checks. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.
Remove trinket or talent lines you do not own. Shared cooldowns can make a large one-button stack less reliable than separate keys.
Activates configured haste/spell-power effects. Remove Icy Veins if your build does not have it and remove slot 13 if that trinket should be timed separately.

Mage Fire macros support multi-target spell application and elemental protection. This group focuses on applying damage to an add without dropping the boss while retaining defensive access. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.
They are most valuable during Deathwhisper adds, Valithria waves, Lich King transitions and fire-heavy mechanics. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.
Mouseover damage depends on clean nameplates. If overlapping plates cause mistakes, use normal targeting instead.
Applies Living Bomb to another enemy without dropping your primary boss target. Useful when multidotting adds.

Normal press casts Fire Ward; Shift casts Frost Ward.

Mage Frost macros support pet control, crowd control and safe defensive activation. This group focuses on handling an assigned secondary unit while keeping the primary target stable. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.
They are most valuable during trash control, emergency immunity, add waves and movement between phases. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.
Use separate activation and cancellation for immunities. One spammed key should never remove the defensive on the same emergency.
Polymorphs an assigned focus target without changing your boss target.
#showtooltip Polymorph
/cast [@focus,harm,nodead] Polymorph
Cancels your current spell and immediately enters Ice Block. Use a separate cancellation button:
#showtooltip Ice Block
/stopcasting
/cast Ice Block
This is safer than combining activation and cancellation if you spam keybinds.
/cancelaura Ice Block
Summons the Water Elemental when absent and sends it to your target. The pet’s Freeze still requires manual ground placement in native 3.3.5a.
