Warlock macro library

General

2 macros

Warlock General macros support the parts of the class that every specialization shares. This group focuses on fast targeting, clean target swaps and utility without losing your main boss target. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.

They are most valuable during add waves, interrupt assignments, emergency raid utility and moments when changing target would cost casts or auto-attacks. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.

Keep only the targeting layers you can read instantly. If your raid frames, click-casting addon or nameplates already perform the same job, the shorter normal keybind is often safer.

Immediate pet recall

Pulls your demon out of dangerous mechanics or away from the wrong target.

Soulstone mouseover

Applies your prepared Master Soulstone to a friendly mouseover, target or yourself.

Affliction

Warlock Affliction macros support mouseover damage-over-time application, AoE setup and execute channels. This group focuses on maintaining boss pressure while applying effects to secondary targets. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.

They are most valuable during Deathwhisper adds, Valithria waves, Lich King transitions and execute phases. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.

Mouseover casting is powerful only with readable nameplates. Avoid accidental DoTs on controlled or unwanted targets.

Focus/mouseover DoT

Alt applies Corruption to your focus. Otherwise it applies it to a hostile mouseover or your current target. Replace Corruption with Curse of Agony, Curse of Doom, Unstable Affliction or Immolate.

Uses Demonic Empowerment when available and casts Seed on your mouseover or selected target.

Drain Soul without accidental clipping

Starts Drain Soul only when you are not already channeling it, preventing key-spamming from restarting the channel. Use a normal Drain Soul key when you intentionally need to refresh or retarget it.

Demonology

Warlock Demonology macros support pet uptime and planned transformation cooldowns. This group focuses on protecting major cooldowns from incorrect form or pet states. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.

They are most valuable during scheduled raid burst, pet deaths, movement transitions and fast resummons. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.

Do not bury every summon or transformation inside a filler spell. Important cooldowns need visible, deliberate timing.

Demonology Metamorphosis protection

Activates Metamorphosis only while outside the form, preventing repeated presses from cancelling it.

Demonic Empowerment with filler

Uses Demonic Empowerment whenever available and casts Shadow Bolt.

Fel Domination summon

Activates Fel Domination and attempts to summon a Felhunter. Depending on the global cooldown, another press may be required.

Destruction

Warlock Destruction macros support pet interrupts, threat recovery and weapon-stone preparation. This group focuses on keeping damage on the main target while controlling a separate caster or threat emergency. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.

They are most valuable during Deathwhisper, Valithria, Lich King adds and high-threat opening bursts. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.

Confirm which demon is active before relying on a pet ability. A fallback cannot create an ability the current pet does not know.

Focus Spell Lock

Orders the Felhunter to interrupt your hostile focus, falling back to the selected target.

Pet attack with filler

Sends your demon to the current target while casting your filler.

Spellstone creation and application

Creates a Grand Spellstone when absent and applies it to the main-hand weapon on a later press. For Firestone users, substitute the corresponding Firestone spell and item names.
