Priest macro library

General

2 macros

Priest General macros support the parts of the class that every specialization shares. This group focuses on fast targeting, clean target swaps and utility without losing your main boss target. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.

They are most valuable during add waves, interrupt assignments, emergency raid utility and moments when changing target would cost casts or auto-attacks. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.

Keep only the targeting layers you can read instantly. If your raid frames, click-casting addon or nameplates already perform the same job, the shorter normal keybind is often safer.

Focus Shackle Undead

Controls an assigned undead focus without changing your primary target.

Mass Dispel

Stops your current cast and opens the Mass Dispel targeting circle. Native 3.3.5a still requires the ground click.

Discipline

Priest Discipline macros support assigned external cooldowns, dispels and raid-frame targeting. This group focuses on delivering a defensive or offensive cooldown without abandoning the current healing target. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.

They are most valuable during tank spikes, Infest preparation, dangerous dispels and planned caster burst windows. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.

Focus targets work well for fixed assignments; mouseover works better for changing ones. Pick one priority order and learn it.

Mouseover Dispel Magic

Dispels a friendly or hostile mouseover without changing target, falling back to normal target behavior.

Holy

Priest Holy macros support reactive healing and emergency raid cooldowns. This group focuses on reaching the endangered player quickly while preserving a selected tank or boss target. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.

They are most valuable during raid-wide damage, tank emergencies, disease removal and recovery after mechanics overlap. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.

Stopcasting lines should be limited to true emergency buttons. Cancelling a nearly finished heal for minor damage can reduce total healing.

Universal mouseover heal

Alt heals yourself. Otherwise it prioritizes mouseover, friendly target, the friendly target of an enemy, and finally yourself. Replace Flash Heal with Greater Heal, Renew, Prayer of Mending, Power Word: Shield or Penance.

Uses Inner Focus before Divine Hymn. This lowers the channel’s mana cost and provides its critical-strike benefit.

Shadow

Priest Shadow macros support personal survival, mana tools and leaving damage form for emergency support. This group focuses on surviving lethal mechanics or assisting the raid without losing control of form state. They are shortcuts for decisions you already understand; they do not automate a rotation, check resources or decide which raid member deserves a cooldown.

They are most valuable during Sindragosa bursts, Lich King transitions, Halion movement and mana recovery windows. Build the keybind around the assignment you actually receive in your raid, and keep a normal version of any critical ability available until the macro has been tested on your server.

Keep aura cancellation deliberate. Leaving a defensive or form at the wrong moment can cost both survival and damage.

Summons Shadowfiend and orders it to attack your current target.
